Cryogel® and Cryogel Z® are flexible insulations designed for sub-ambient and cryogenic applications. Cryogel® and Cryogel Z® can be bought as rolls or can be fabricated into a variety of customer specified parts. Cryogel Z® has an additional integral vapor barrier to prevent surface condensation. Pacor also has the ability to produce specialty faced Cryogel products.

Cryogel® and Cryogel Z® Aerogel insulation are flexible aerogel blankets designed to deliver maximum thermal protection with minimal weight and thickness. Their unique properties – extremely low thermal conductivity, superior flexibility, and water resistance (hydrophobicity) – make them a superior solution for sub-ambient and cryogenic applications. Additionally, Cryogel Z® has an integral vapor barrier engineered for zero water vapor permeability.


Applications for this unique product include industries such as LNG production and storage facilities. Cyrogel® can be foil scrim laminated on both sides or be purchased with a variety of specially formulated spray coatings on one or both sides.


Cryrogel® and Cryogel Z® Aerogel insulation have numerous advantages over more traditional insulation products. These aerogel blankets have an extremely thin profile, which increases the internal volume within tight spaces. Cryogel® insulation blankets are also hydrophobic, which means they have outstanding resistance to moisture. Aerogel products have excellent resistance to flame spread and smoke emission. They are lighter weight than other insulations and have 2 – 8 times the insulation value for the same thickness.
