Description
Pyrogel® XT-E insulation is a flexible aerogel blanket designed to deliver maximum thermal protection with minimal weight and thickness. Its unique properties – very low thermal conductivity, high temperature resistance, and water resistance (hydrophobicity) – make it a superior solution for high temperature insulation applications.
Applications
Applications for this unique product include turbines, exhaust manifolds, pumps, regulators and piping found in a wide variety of industries such as petrochemical, refining and gas processing.
Advantages
Pyrogel® XT-E Aerogel insulation has numerous advantages over more traditional insulation products. It has an extremely thin profile, which increases the internal volume within tight spaces. Aerogel insulation is hydrophobic, which means it has outstanding resistance to moisture and has excellent resistance to flame spread and smoke emission. It is lighter weight than other insulations and has two to eight times the insulation value for the same thickness.
