Description

Micromat® is a flexible fiberglass insulation blanket faced on one side with a smooth durable mat. It is recommended for use as a thermal and acoustical liner in HVAC and other equipment applications.

Micromat RX® has an acrylic coating that contains an antimicrobial agent to increase resistance to bacteria and fungi growth.

Applications

This insulation can be used in lining of equipment such as industrial or commercial furnaces, air conditioners and fan coils in an effort to reduce thermal transfer and make the equipment more efficient.

Micromat® is also suited for applications requiring effective thermal and acoustical control, low air friction, damage resistances and attractive appearance.

Advantages

The borosilicate glass fibers that make up Micromat® insulation are incombustible. Micromat® does not support fungi or vermin. Micromat is unaffected by oil, grease and most acids. Microma RX® is resistant to the growth of bacteria or fungi.

Because of its high tensile strength and flexibility, Micromat® resists damage during fabrication and installation. It resists settling, sagging from vibration and damage from impact. Micromat® can be firmly bonded to metals, plastic, or other material with commercial adhesives or mechanical fastening devices.
