Description

Ceramic paper is lightweight and thermally efficient. Used in a variety of heat processing applications, ceramic paper features good resistance to tearing, high flexibility, very low thermal conductivity and resistance to thermal shock. Pacor ceramic paper offerings range from utility grade to commercial grade to premium grade papers.

Applications/Advantages

LyTherm® Grade 550-L Utility Grade paper is recommended for continuous use at temperatures up to 2300°F/1260°C where insulating efficiency is not critical. Applications include parting plane in refractory linings, thermal and electrical insulation, and expansion joints.

LyTherm® Grade 970-L Commerical Grade paper is recommended for continuous use at temperatures up to 2300°F/1260°C where insulating efficiency is critical. Applications include combustion chamber lines, thermal and electrical insulation, and kiln car deck covering.

LyTherm® Grade 1530-L & 1535-L Premium Grade paper has extremely low thermal conductivity and a dust-free surface. This ceramic paper is used in applications with a maximum temperature for 2300°F/1260°C, such as high temperature gaskets, hot top linings and thermal and electrical insulation.

LyTherm® Rollboard paper is a lightweight refractory material recommended for continuous use at temperatures up to 2300°F/1260°C. Characteristics include low shrinkage, good handling strength and low thermal conductivity. Applications include one-time consumable insulating applications and where low binder content is required.
